I have used Microsoft Word for as long as I can remember. Since, I received my first Macbook at 4 years old, Microsoft Word has been downloaded on all my computers. I remember being actually taught how to use Word in computer class in elementary school. Then, around the time I went to Middle School Google Docs was introduced. Now I prefer Google Docs because of how easily accessible it is. I also like how quickly it saves your work and how easily you can share the document with other people. I do still use Microsoft Word when I need a more professional document that I am going to work on long term like a long essay or my resume. As a teacher, I would ensure my students are educated about copyright and fair use. I would make sure students would not use materials that they were not allowed to and also double-check my materials. I learned a lot about copyright and fair use, especially fair use. I had heard of the concept but never fully understood about it until now. Implementing technology is bound to have some problems. One of the major ones is academic dishonesty. Students frequently use things like AI and Chatgbt to do their work for them. A solution to this is going back to technology-free learning. Many teachers are resorting back to paper and pencil for many assignments.
