When designing my website, I acquired quite a few new skills. I learned how to add links to pictures, this way, you could click on a picture, and it would take you to another page on the website. I liked that I was able to fully customize the template, some website-making pages keep you very confined. I thought that the platform could have been a little more user-friendly. I could use this to make a website with resources for my students in the future.      Some ways I might use QR codes in the classroom are for reading support, exit slips, and parent communication. Using QR codes for English Language Learners could be useful during read-alouds. I would link the audio for the stories or text with the QR code. For exit slips, I would put a QR code near the door, and students could scan it to complete an exit slip every day. In a weekly newsletter or handouts to parents, I would include a QR code to additional websites or important links for the parents...

My experience blogging has been very brief. This is my first time blogging for this class. I like that you can write a long article on blogs. You can have a good platform for expressing different essays and viewpoints eloquently. I have learned that blogging is much more similar to writing articles than social media. I don't like that there is less interaction with other people on blogs. I feel like blogging is definitely geared more towards people who enjoy writing.      One web 2.0 tool I would use in a classroom is Quizizz. Quizziz allows teachers to create assessments for practice or testing, teach new skills, and analyze texts. Teachers can also make asynchronous lessons interactive by adding quiz questions to the video. I used Quizziz in high school and really liked it because of how versatile it was. Teachers can also look up other lessons to use for their class.  https://quizizz.com/?lng=en     I have used generative AI mostly t...

As a teacher, I would ensure my students are educated about copyright and fair use. I would make sure students would not use materials that they were not allowed to and also double-check my materials. I learned a lot about copyright and fair use, especially fair use. I had heard of the concept but never fully understood about it until now.      Implementing technology is bound to have some problems. One of the major ones is academic dishonesty. Students frequently use things like AI and Chatgbt to do their work for them. A solution to this is going back to technology-free learning. Many teachers are resorting back to paper and pencil for many assignments. Forcing students to do their work without technology will force them to use their own work and think critically for themselves.      I acquired lots of new skills from working on the Newsletter. One was working with the columns formatting on Microsoft Word. I have only had to do that on...

I have used Microsoft Word for as long as I can remember. Since, I received my first Macbook at 4 years old, Microsoft Word has been downloaded on all my computers. I remember being actually taught how to use Word in computer class in elementary school. Then, around the time I went to Middle School Google Docs was introduced. Now I prefer Google Docs because of how easily accessible it is. I also like how quickly it saves your work and how easily you can share the document with other people. I do still use Microsoft Word when I need a more professional document that I am going to work on long term like a long essay or my resume.      The most meaningful standard to me is " Educators facilitate learning with technology to support student achievement of the ISTE Standards for Students". I have learned that educators should utilize technology for classroom management and to teach computational thinking. I do feel that sometimes educators overuse technolo...

In this class, I hope to learn how to use technology for my future profession. I also hope that I will be more efficient using technology in general, after this class. I hope to apply my knowledge in my everyday life and in my profession. For example, creating infographics for parents with children who has speech or language problem.     My prior experiences in using technology in educational settings is creating presentations and a website. I have created a presentation for presenting lessons and topics in the past. I have created them for meeting for my student organizations, teaching lessons, and creating an agenda. I have also created a website for a school project.      My current personal learning network, I like to learn about different updates in the speech-language pathology community and help with my classes. One of my favorite hobbies is reading, I have a personal learning network to learn about as well. I use Instagram to learn a...
